Problem

Client onboarding and internal document handling ran on paper: physical signatures, manual filing, and no searchable record of document status. Processing was slow, error-prone, and impossible to monitor.

Approach

1. 01Mapped the end-to-end document lifecycle and identified the manual handoffs responsible for most delays.
2. 02Designed an electronic document management structure in SharePoint with metadata-driven classification.
3. 03Built Power Automate flows to route documents for review and approval automatically.
4. 04Created a Power BI monitoring view so management could track throughput and bottlenecks.

Outcome

Onboarding paperwork moved fully electronic, manual processing time dropped significantly, and document status became visible in real time instead of living in filing cabinets.
